In Saginaw Township Community Schools, school board members must develop policies and make tough decisions on complex educational and social issues which impact the entire community. They bear responsibility for an annual budget of over $40 million, 5200 students, 621 employees and 9 buildings. They carry out the truest form of representative government in our democracy - volunteer public service and preserve the core of our democratic land - public education.

To Speak Before the Board

The Board welcomes your input. If you have a topic you would like to address at a Board Meeting, there are opportunities to address the Board during the time on the agenda listed as "Public Comments."

When addressing the Board, speakers are asked to state their name, address, and school or organization. Communication must be addressed to the Board and should be no longer than 3 minutes.  The Board of Education does not usually respond to speakers comments or questions at the meeting.  Speakers will receive a response to their comments and/or questions after the Board and administration has had a chance to look into the situation.

   2010-11 Board Meetings and Agendas
Meetings start at 7:00 pm unless otherwise posted. The first meeting of the month is the Committee of the Whole (COTW). The second meeting is the Board's regular meeting.
