Ms. Charity in the Arrowwood library wants to give a huge shout out and thank you to Mr. Krzyzaniak from White Pine Middle School. He and his students built these wooden devices that prevent books from sliding back on the shelves. Our students can easily see titles and Ms. Charity can keep it effortlessly tidy for her readers. Thank you, Mr. K!
The music room is coming alive with Mrs Reyes. Fourth graders discovered rhymes and a classic song today "Down by the Bay".

Eagles gathered for their first morning assembly today. We reviewed assembly expectations, upcoming behavior recognition, and took a mindful moment together.
Then, Sparky visited recess when a bald eagle was spotted soaring overhead. 🦅

The first day of school was a success! Mrs. Charity was checking out books to 4th graders before 9:30 a.m. And recess is even more fun on the first day of school as students reconnect with old friends and meet new lunch staff. There were lots of smiles as the Eagles left the nest. See you all tomorrow for day two!

We've started learning together at Arrowwood! Happy First Day!
'Twas the night before school, and all through the town,
Not a student was sleeping, or even calmed down.
The third, fourth, and fifth graders tossed in their beds,
While visions of recess danced round in their heads.
The sun finally rose on sweet Arrowwood's grounds,
And soon the whole building was filled up with sounds.
Now Third grade! Now Fourth grade! And Fifth grade, let's go!
There’s reading, and writing, and so much to know!
The doors opened wide as the morning bell rang,
And into the hallways the eager kids sprang.
I heard teachers call out to them with delight,
"Happy first day to all, let's start the year right!"

Tonight, our hallways, classrooms, and parking lots were bustling with activity. The Eagles flew to the nest and were full of smiles and excitement for the new year.
In addition to seeing classrooms, teachers, and friends, families were able to register for aftercare, talk to Nutrition Services, get information on PTO, sign up to volunteer, and get resources from the CAN Council.
After being with you all tonight, we just can't wait for Tuesday! 🦅
