Congratulations Mrs Mason! She was recognized at the Board of Education meeting tonight as a nominee for the Saginaw ISD Teacher of the Year. Mrs Mason is one of the amazing third grade teachers at Arrowwood and recognized for her tirelessly work to help her students to soar to new heights. Fun fact three former students of Mrs Mason's are now teachers at Arrowwood.

HHS Seniors: The staff and students of your former elementary schools would like to honor your graduation by inviting you back Tuesday, May 19 in your cap and gown so we can officially clap you out. Arrowwood, and Weiss will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sherwood and Westdale will begin at 2:10 p.m. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before the start and gather near the main entrance of the building and you will receive more directions once you arrive. Today, our student council held their last meeting in the form of a birthday party for a cause. We came together to create custom wrapping paper for the Good JuJu Program of the Faris Foundation. Our paper will be used to wrap gifts for children with cancer, "delivering joy and magic in the most challenging of times." Thanks to Elliott's family for sharing this idea with us!

Though the end of the school year is drawing nearer, it hasn't stopped the hard work or learning at Arrowwood. Today we celebrated this Rising Eagle who passed all of her grade level content in our ALEKS math program! Keep soaring 🦅
Lots of ideas 💡 are growing in the third grade wing as well as plant 🌱 in the propagation stations. Thank you to the STCS Foundation grant last year our Eagles have been propagating plants as a part of their life cycles and living things unit.
Congratulations to our BLOCK Award nominees from Arrowwood who were recognized this evening including Ms Rivera, Ms Tera, Ms Frost, Mrs Mahoney, Ms Horning (not pictured) and Mr Mize. In addition Mrs Raines and Ms Charity received grants for History Bee and Battle of the Books for next school year. Thank you STCS Foundation for the opportunity to recognize the great things happening at Arrowwood and in Saginaw Township!
Some of our eagles flew the nest today and headed to the baseball diamond. Ms Shanna, Ms Tera, Ms Marisa and Ms Lewis's students headed to a Great Lakes Loons game as part of our community based instruction and making memories. It was a home run today for fun!
The third grade Eagles 🦅 took to the stage to share their journey this school year with their families. Recorders, singing and movement oh my! Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate their learning this morning.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the positive role models to our Eagles at Arrowwood.
We had a great week sharing our love and appreciation for our Arrowwood teachers and staff. Events included survivor gift bags including new clickers for their computers, a dirty soda bar with a Merge Mixer or Castaway Cola, breakfast service from the Arrowwood PTO, pulled pork luncheon from the office crew, and new additions to their classroom libraries around topics in the new ELA curriculum. The team played several games to celebrate the year and had a bonus prep time while the principals held down the island with a prepared STEAM day. Thank you to this passionate group of individuals that truly are champions for all of our students, our building and STCS! We appreciate all that you do!
